I should be doing my scholarship essays but after what my dad just did I don't want to.
I got my letters of recommendation from two of my teachers today and I let him read them. He told me that he was very, verryyy proud of me, which I haven't heard him say in so long.
A bit later I asked him to grab my scholarship application from the printer. He asked me how many scholarships I've applied for and I told him two. (one worth $1,000, and the other $2,500.)
He then went on to get angry that I've only applied for two and tell me that scholarships are a big deal.
To which I said, "Sorry I'm not trying hard enough..."
to which he replied, "No, you're not trying hard enough."
